This week has kind of sucked because I got super sick on Sunday night (102 fever, aching body, throat so sore I can't swallow, etc.). I'm still sick and I've had so much to do this week in preparation for my eldest graduating high school tomorrow. At this point I'm just pumping myself full of chemicals and vitamins in the hopes of trying to feel normal for the 3 hours needed to get through the graduation ceremony.
On a brighter and happier note, Mo (aka Morpheus) officially becomes my horse on Saturday. The two-week trial ends then but I've already told the rescue I'm keeping him as of last Friday. He and I took a short ride around the pasture, and he was so incredibly patient and understanding while I tried to negotiate getting my short 5'4" self on and off his huge 17hh back. This horse is the sweetest, gentlest, most patient and loving horse I've ever met. He is definitely my forever horse. I can't imagine ever giving him up.
