I feel like I owe one for my lack of art the last couple months. It's kind of personal and I am not one to share personal stuff in public forums, but I've finally decided to make an exception in this case.

I've been having a lot of life stress from multiple sources for a while now. I've been suffering from depression for the last few years. I finally conceded to being put on an antidepressant. This has been both a blessing and a curse.

Pros:  I no longer suffer crippling social anxiety. In fact, I'm going to be joining Aikido classes soon. I'm thinking of joining a gym and getting a personal trainer to help me attain my lifestyle goals. I'm exercising more efficiently and my energy is better for it. I don't feel like crying all the time. I'm not constantly worrying about everything.

Cons:  My inner child has disappeared. I feel like a boring "grownup." I lack creativity. I don't feel strongly enough about anything to want to write about it or express myself about it in some manner.

There are a lot more pros than cons to taking the medication, but the one con is a huge deal to me. I committed to trying the medication for six months. I'm still hoping that somehow that creative part of me will return at some point. I'm sure it didn't go anywhere. It's just buried under the chemicals right now.

I'm a 30-something living on the east coast and dying to get back to the Midwest. I like video games, crafting, amateur photography, writing, drawing, reading, cooking, mountain biking, hiking, training my GSDs, and jogging when I'm feeling masochistic. I've also recently begun teaching myself how to play guitar.

In my head I know all the words to every song. In reality I'm doing a lot of mumbling and getting about every third or fourth word right. That pretty much sums up my art, too. I'm a hobbyist and a dabbler. I don't strive for perfection; I just strive for honesty, for something that makes me feel something, for something that I love enough that I want to share it.

My publications are available at Smashwords in multiple eReader formats.

:+fav: No thanks necessary! You're extremely welcome and thank YOU for sharing your work! :+fav:

Please Note!

If you favorite something of mine, anything at all, know that I am jumping up and down like the head cheerleader on prom night while being crowned homecoming queen. So, if I forget to thank you (or if you favorite multiple things over time and I don't say thank you personally every time), just picture me squeeing and leaping about with my metaphorical pom-poms in the air and know that I am deeply thankful. :D Every single :+fav: gets me every single time.
